Produce water: A pinafta has a unique ability to convert anything it has eaten into energy for its body while at the same time regurgitating the water inside into its beak pouch. Travelers often try to tame a pinafta in order to make use of this ability, as the water is pure and completely clean, a Pinafta has no saliva in its beak. Only mares though can create water, allowing only its mate and fowls to drink its water.

Mane: all Pinafta have great manes that start off similar to a horses at the top of its head, but as it gets to the center of its neck just bellow its beak the main grows into a large main full of feathers and fur, this mane is so thick though that any attempt to lop off a Pinafta's head would need a strength check of 20 or more to successfully cut through, even with a vorpal weapon. On a fail, the attacker must also succeed a DC 16 reflex save or have the weapon get tangled into the mane, allowing the Pinafta to attack the target as if it where flat footed, unless the attacker releases the weapon or breaks free with another strength check.
Pinafta mane's are fully developed once they are 2 years old, meaning new-borne and the young can still have there heads cut off without difficulties.
This beast has the body of a large white horse, great wings coming from its shoulder blades that extend as far out as the beast is long. Its for-limbs end in large webbed bird feet. Its head is that of a large Pelican with its neck contorted into an S to rest among a large majestic mane that covers most of its lower neck and upper body.
Pinafta are a relative of the Griffin and the Hipogriff, though where the griffin is that of an Eagle and Lion, and Hipogriff is that of a Falcon and horse, the Pinafta is a mixture of a Pelican and a large horse. They are much less likely to attack intruders they there brethren are and are capable of easier training. Once trained a Pinafta treats its owner as family allowing it to take water from its nearly endless supply.
They have an omnivorous diet, but usually eat fish and grass since they contain a great deal more water, but given conditions a Pinafta is known to resort to eating humans, rocks or even cannibalize just to retrieve water for the rest of the family and themselves. Though it seems only the female Pinafta can create water and only when it needs to care for its young, a lone mare will only make water if it needs it, not even its trainer (unless the trainer is really skilled) can force a Pinafta to produce water when it is unneeded.
Pinafta are large animals, able to stand as high as 4-5 feet at the shoulder, and spread around 7-9 feet in length from collar to rear. Its neck though can add an extra 2 feet and its beak another 2 feat giving it much greater reach then other quadrupeds of similar builds. A pinafta has a wingspan of around 30 feet in length giving it might lift, though making it harder to move fluently through the air, they weigh approximately 1,000 pounds.
For any of you who are interested in using the Pinafta that I had uploaded not to long ago for a 3.5 game ^^ tell me how it turns out since I wont get much chance to test them out XD
